Jim Towns is an award-winning writer, director and artist. His feature films include Prometheus Triumphant, STIFF, House of Bad, State of Desolation and The Beast Inside. He's the author of the books American Cryptic: True Accounts of the Strange and Uncanny, Bloodsucker City, and Whiskey Stories, and his short fiction has been included in numerous anthologies and literary magazines.

His fascination with monsters began at an early age watching Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein on Sunday mornings. When his mom bought him the classic book MONSTERS FROM THE MOVIES in third grade, his fascination with Universal Horror and makeup took off, leading him to a successful career as a horror filmmaker, screenwriter and novelist.

He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and several mysterious cats.
